SideKicks Giving Back: Big Dawgs Rescue

Tammie Narducci is one of our many wonderful SideKicks here are SideMark. She is an Account Coordinator who does a great job taking care of project details and assuring that our clients get the tender loving care they deserve.

Her tender loving care doesn’t stop there. She and her husband Tim are parents to not one, not two….but four dogs. Tammie sums it up beautifully, “We love dogs.”

But wait, there’s more! Since four is the limit on how many dogs they can care for under one roof, they found a way to extend that number many times over. Tammie and Tim organize and participate in a yearly event that raises funds for Big Dawgs Rescue.  Big Dawgs Rescue was founded in May 2009 and is run entirely by volunteers.  They are a non-profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of homeless and abandoned pets by placing them into loving forever homes. What a great reason to raise some money!

And what a fund raiser! It’s called Give Me Shelter and has been taking place for four years.

Tim Narducci is a professional musician and a member of the ZZ Top Tribute band “Beer Drinkers & Hell Raisers”. (ZZ Top would be proud). He had the idea that a great way to give back, would be to use his music to help a good cause, and Big Dawgs Rescue was the perfect choice for the dog lovin’ couple. One thing lead to another, and Give Me Shelter was born.

“Every year we hand pick other Bay Area bands to join us for the cause and put on a great show at the Mountain House Bar. It’s an outdoor event that attendees can bring their dogs too. The event features various vendors, beverages and food, right along with the music.” So far Give Me Shelter has raised over $12,000 for Big Dawgs Rescue.
