Job Title: Showroom Manager
Status: Non-exempt
Reports to: Director of Administration
GENERAL SUMMARY
At SideMark, the Showroom Manager is the first point of contact for many of our clients and vendors. For this reason, it is a critical role within the company and can be considered the first point of a future sale. This position is ideal for an individual with a design background who is interested in a career opportunity within the Corporate Furniture Dealership World. This individual needs to be self -motivated, organized and desire always to be learning and taking on more responsibility within SideMark.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
- Answer phones and greet visitors.
- Resource Library – develop an overall library resource management plan. Keep library clean, organized, and current at all times.
- Track and distribute information about price increases and special product updates.
- Develop a familiarity with product lines and SideMark Premier Vendors / Manufacturers.
- Update SideMark current Vendor lists and information about the local representative for each line.
- Schedule Lunch & Learns with the local sales representative, manufacturers and / or vendors.
- Order and setup lunches for the Lunch & Learns.
- Order samples, brochures, library materials as needed and / or requested.
- Become familiar with Manufacturers on-line resources.
- Keep Showroom clean and presentable at all times, and prepare for scheduled visits/presentations.
- Control showroom inventory.
- Maintain all Marketing Materials and assist in putting together marketing packages, etc.
- Assist in perpetuating the “SideMark” image through updating forms, fax sheets, etc. (Graphics type work)
- Assist in the implementation and update of Customer Resource Manager (CRM).
- Prepare and distribute company correspondence via mail and email.
- Coordinate all showroom functions.
- Assist with graphic design projects.
- Assist with final preparation of bid packages and proposals.
- Create power point presentations.
- Assist in planning and execution of company events.
- Distribute mail and packages – Schedule Fed Ex pick ups, etc.
- Make sure kitchens are cleaned and dishes are done at the end of each day.
- Empty dishwashers in the mornings.
- Re-stock paper in office equipment and supply cabinets.
- Other miscellaneous duties as the position requires.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Eye for beauty and perfection.
- Superior communication skills.
- Ability to lift 60 lbs.
- Minimum AA in Interior Design or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Excellent computer skills: Excel, Word, Power Point, Internet
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required. AA degree or certificate in Interior Design or related field preferred. 2+ years administrative experience.
