Job Title: Account Manager

GENERAL SUMMARY
Responsible for owning and enhancing the business relationships with existing clients. Manage all aspects of the sale and delivery of the company’s products and services. Accountable for managing the teams business in a profitable and professional manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Generate profitable business opportunities for the company within the assigned client base through a consultative sales approach qualifying the scope of business opportunities through site-interview based evaluation of business needs.
- Provide leadership, direction, and mentoring to the account team.
- Develop optimal design and product solutions. Present formal proposals as business solutions.
- Assess the scope and complexity of major projects.
- Establish realistic customer expectations.
- Secure purchase orders.
- Negotiate billable services to include Design and Project Management.
- Direct and manage additional Project Management and Field Project Management support to ensure that account expectations are met.
- Personally contact each account at a minimum of once per month to ensure that SideMark service team, PM, Install, and Project Coordinator are performing at agreed to level.
- Manage staff resources, PM, Install, Design, and Project Coordinator as they relate to the support of the account through all phases of the sale, including punch list follow through and final payment.
- Participate in the negotiation of contracts with the account for projects, project management services, and ongoing services.
- Attend product and process trainings whenever possible to be informed of new products and or product changes that may affect the account.
- Actively resolve billing discrepancies whenever necessary.
- On an ongoing basis, follow up with customer to ensure all punch list items have been resolved satisfactorily.
- Anticipate the evolving requirements of the account to proactively provide suggestions and solutions for additional SideMark products and services to meet the account’s current needs.
- Update Structured Web weekly on account sales forecasts. Advise supervisor of any upcoming significant new projects or slow downs to enable the company to adjust staffing and resources accordingly.
- Review Team Design Backlog, Non-booked proposals and Accounts Receivable reports weekly in team meetings. Consolidate all design and project management service billings.
- Introduce Project Coordinator to account when appropriate, and provide the account with necessary tools and systems for ongoing maintenance after major project is complete.
- Other duties as the position may require.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Account Management experience, with a minimum of 2 years direct industry experience.
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple deadlines.
- Proficiency in management and motivation of teams.
- Ability to train and mentor team members.
- Knowledge of office furniture systems.
- Proficiency in MS Windows, Word, Excel, Project, Power Point, and Outlook.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD a plus.
- Demonstrate attention to detail and team philosophy.
- Strong written and oral communications.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree (BA) or certificate in Interior Design or related field preferred.
